We are delighted to announce that, after over 40 years as an independent company, Menas Associates has been acquired by CRI. The London-based intelligence and advisory firm specialises in global due diligence, strategic intelligence, and investigations which will enhance and strengthen our own long-running consultancy work.

Menas will continue to operate as a standalone company under the CRI umbrella. This will enable us to enhance our own services with those of CRI which is ranked by Chambers & Partners as a leading consultancy for Investigative Due Diligence. Last year a former Menas colleague, Amelie de Borchgrave, joined CRI from KPMG as managing director so we are very familiar with the quality of CRI’s work. Since Chris Robinson founded the company in 2012, CRI has established itself as one of the leading, independent business intelligence consultancies in the UK with an impressive track record and reputation for excellence. Many of you have known Menas for decades as clients, acquaintances and supporters and we look forward to introducing you to our new CRI colleagues.

Menas Associates provides sophisticated intelligence in often challenging jurisdictions across the MENA region, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and parts of Asia. Since 1979 — when we initially worked on international border disputes and arbitration cases — we have produced over 7,000 bespoke analytical reports, covering over 75 different countries, for around 100 different commercial, legal and government clients. We pride ourselves on working with integrity and delivering a professional tailored product, and in CRI we are convinced we have found the right partner to embark on a new phase for the company.

CRI founder Chris Robinson said, ‘This is a very exciting opportunity for CRI and we are looking forward to unlocking the potential of both companies. It adds depth to our geopolitical coverage and there could not be a better time to join forces with Menas. With its long and impressive track record of delivering expert bespoke analysis, I’m grateful for the opportunity to take Menas forward and we’re thrilled to be able to offer the expertise of Menas’ formidable network to our client base.’
